This year we have invited some culinery wizards to join our ‘Team Nutrition’

The Gardener’s Cottage  will be setting up their pop-up restaurant in style; within a beautiful 24 foot yurt. Lunch will be served at 3pm and Supper at 7pm, both being a four course feast of fresh, seasonal food and at a very reasonable £30 (includes matched wines) You can pre-book a place at any of the sittings here. We’ve had a peek at the menu and it looks to be the finest food in the land over the weekend..

Wild Rovers are looking forward to serving up wild, organic and locally sourced food from their 1961 Land Rover and Field Kitchen. They’ll be on hand to prepare you for a day of Olympiad activities with their Super Scrambled Arbroath Smokies and signature Venison Champion Chilli Wraps.

Also in the winners arena, we have Babu Bombay Street Kitchen bringing the fresh and hot flavours of Bombay.

Returning favourites, Woodburns wood-fired pizza and their brilliant coffee.

Soothing your soul and banishing your hangover we have AyeCoffee truck in the campsite for your hot bacon roll and steamy mug of espresso coffee.

For sweetness the Inshriach Cake Shop will be returning (from next door) with their dangerous cream cake selection matched with all the tea in china.

Is under construction. Last years Saloon stage is undergoing a transformation into this years Sporting whisky bar. Extended, clad and rebuilt, all in recycled materials (pretty much) it’s the most exciting bar launch of 2012.

The Olympiad will showcase the height of sporting fashion, our people on the ground will be impeccably turned out in the latest distinctive styles and as part of our cultural offering we will be awarding prizes to the most fashionable representatives of our glorious competing nations.

Best team dress. Not just by sport or by nationality but also by date so if you want to be the Slovakian water polo team why not be the Slovakian water polo team c. 1912, save us the blushes and bust out the one piece.

Best national dress. Represent your country with pride. Raise the flag, sing the anthem and wear the head dress. Artistic interpretation will be rewarded.

Heads of state and visiting dignitaries. The world of Sport would be a poorer place without you, leaders of men, governors of nations, oppressors of neighbours and vanquishers of weaklings, how we admire you. Dress to impress for the despots and dictators ball, Sunday night on the lawn.

Supporters. What would an athlete be without his adoring fans? But a mere pillar of finely honed muscularity, an empty, lycra clad shell. Its not manners, its the fans that maketh man. The cheers of the Olympiad will echo through the ages, bounce from the skies and reverberate across these hallowed fields of play. Especially during the egg and spoon triathlon. Turn out your best for your heroes and they will turn out their best for you.

Over in the arena our expert sports consultant and ladies moustache champion of 2011, Elma Miller has put together a few sporting disciplines in which you can compete. All sports are for charity and to compete you will have to make a £5 donation for your competitors bib but endless glory awaits the champion of champions.

Over in the winter olympics we are holding the G2 Eddie the Eagle lookalike competition.

The Boris Yeltsin memorial cabbage tossing contest, curated by the beautiful Gwendolinska.

Tug of war. Field your team. Bald people vs Gymnasts for example.

We are delighted that leading the big fat Backwoods stomp through the qualifiers are the legendary Glasgow monsters of club Optimo, taking over the woods on Friday night. Competing in categories of banjo and beautiful we are delighted that This is the Kit have made it through the preliminaries, and over in the experimental and ethereal arena, strong favourites Remember Remember are also proud members of team Insider.
